What's The Catch?
The financial cost to you is... not one red cent.
Really? Yes really!
We've worked this biz for quite a few years now and
we enjoy the hell out of it. With costs rising like they are,
it's hard for couples/singles interested in starting an adult
website to get their foot in the door.
Ok, let's back up a little, shall we?
What Are The Real
Costs?
If you wanted to start you own Adult Paysite (one that
has paying members), you need a couple of your basic components to
get started.
1) Credit Card Processor - this is for taking
memberships. By doing so, you allow individuals to sign-up for
your website, using a credit card, online check and/or 900#.
The processor issues the new member a Username & Password in which
to access a secured area within you website, usually referred to as
a Members area.
Most processors now require several things: good
credit, lots of website content and $$$.
The need for good credit should not need to be
explained.
Good website content is important in order to retain
site members and to help prevent charge backs (members asking for
there money back). If a company/site has too many charge
backs, they can get shut down. That's bad!
Ah, the money. You will need to thank VISA for
this one. Since Jan. 2003, you will be charged over $1000 plus
$750 each year just for the ability to take credit cards. And
that is money that you need to pay upfront.
2) Hosting Fees - if you have ever seen the ads for
hosting priced at $9.95/month... for get it. It ain't for us.
The truth of the matter is, if you run and kind of traffic to your
site (surfers visiting), you're more than likely going to use
$100/month. The bottom line is simple, the more traffic - the
more sign-ups?
3) Software - Do you have it? Do you know how
to effective use it?
4) And much more...
