What's The Catch?
The out-of-pocket cost to you is (or can be)... not one red cent.  Really?  Yes really!

Here's the deal.   We've all heard about when there was a time when people helped each other out... and bartered when they could.  We are that type of people.  Our goal is to get away from the rat-race of working for the Almighty Dollar, just so we can buy something we really don't need. 

We've had a website design biz for quite a few years now and we enjoy it, but we also farm. We manage a small family farm in West-Central Minnesota.  We're not organic, but we are implementing more natural pasture-based practices. We also have a 3rd generation 4H'er in the family.  The animals we raise are mainly goats, pigs and chickens, but we also grow grapes and have a couple of llamas... but that's another story.

The point is:  We want to barter with you.  If you farm or operate an agri-business, chances are you will have something we can use on or for our farm.  If not on the farm, by us personally.

What Are The Real Costs?
We would like to barter with you for the costs of creating your website ($500-750 value).  We'll even pay for the 1st year's registration of your domain name, just so we can get your website up and running quickly.  Heck, we'll even cover the cost of the first year of web hosting (approx. $10.00/month).

If you want to start the Website building process on your own (without our help), you will need to buy or gain knowledge of the following:

1) Your Website Name - $10-$35
Find a reputable registrar, sign-up for an account, and then give your credit-card information online. 
Later in the process (after finding a hosting company), you will be required to make changes to your account.  You will need to point URL requests to the correct DNS (Domain Name Servers).

2) Website Design - $200-$2000+
How much do you want to spend?  Some folks spend hundreds... even thousands hiring website designers, but it doesn't have to be that way.

3) Hosting Fees - $5-$99/month
5 years ago, I would have told you to stay away from companies charging $10/month or less.  But not anymore.  The truth of the matter is, these types of companies have become so competitive, that's now the going rate... don't pay more than you have to.  The hosting company we use charges $10/month.

4) Software - Free - $1,000's
Do you have it?  Do you know how to effectively use it?  The good news is that we have website design software, the knowledge to use it, and the ability to upload your site files to the servers and yes... you will be satisfied with what we do.

5) HTML coding -
The software program we use for creating websites does most of the coding automatically, but to effectively build a good website, one needs to know basic website language.  Without it, nobody will be able to find your website when using search engines.  Statistically, most people find the website they are looking for through the use of search engines.

6) And More -
There are a few other small but important components (advertising, linking, search engine submission, robot.txt, etc...), but the above items are the basics.
